We uniquely offer the industry-leading DAS Unlimited course. Customers can opt to choose this premium package instead of the seven-day DAS course and will be given as much training and as many sittings of the Module One and Two tests as it takes for them to pass – all covered by a one-off fee.
Anyone who thinks they may need more time to learn can choose DAS Unlimited in the knowledge that as long as it takes for you to pass your test, BMW Rider Training will be with you every step of the way and there will be no extra costs for training, motorcycle hire or test fees to worry about.
There’s no fine print or hidden charges. You can trust the BMW Rider Training promise that, if you choose DAS Unlimited, we will train you until you pass and it won’t cost you a penny more than our upfront course charge.
The 7 day Direct Access / A2 course is designed carefully for a total beginner to motorcycling. No prior motorcycling experience is necessary.
It is advantageous if you currently drive and have ridden a bicycle. If you do not drive or have not ridden a bicycle before it is necessary to discuss this with us beforehand so that we can evaluate your individual needs.
The structure of the course is laid out to give a gentle introduction to the world of motorcycling:
Day 1: Introduction to the clothing and machinery used. Basic skills covered on 125cc motorcycles on our secure and private traning area. We do not go out on the road on day 1
Day 2: Contiuning with the work done on day 1 and then spending the whole of the rest of the day on the road starting with quiet country lanes to allow you to settle with riding motorcycles.
Day 3: Introduction to the larger motorcycle (either G650 GS for A2 or F700 GS for Direct Access) This is done once again on our training area and then once competent out on the roads
Days 4 - 7: Every day we cover extra elements of theory and practical training to ensure that the skills required to ride safely are embeded and applied. Your module 2 test will be on the last day.
Every day we discuss the plans for that day and review progress with you at the end of the day to ensure you are fully aware of your progress. This is a fun, enjoyable course which starts at a gentle pace and progresses at a speed commiserate to your needs.
